Ever wondered how it looks like under the silhouette in a photo? Now here's your chance to take a look.
This is a single shot photo, no stiches from other photos. The light data from the near-black pixels on the lower half of the image has been carefully extracted and restored back to "normal" light conditions. Because the lower half was virtually black, this process is really exhausting the data information from the base, hence the slight noise and banding.
You can see a lighthouse there to the left of the halo in the sun.
